Visiting Update

I wanted to let everyone know the status of Andrew being able to see visitors for the time being. His doctors believe he is in need of much more rest. He isn't going to be able to come off the ventilator for a while longer and they are going to up his sedation to give him better rest, as the last couple of days of trying to breath and a lot of visitors has set him back slightly. Andrew is still in critical care and I'm going to follow whatever his doctors feel is best for him. And the orders for today are rest and more rest. Please understand that they aren't trying to keep people from seeing him . . . they're acting in the best interest of his recovery. I was able to let Andrew know that there was a concern that he wasn't resting enough and I told him what the plan is and he had a huge look of relief on his face . . . he knows he needs the rest. Thank you for you understanding, I will post again tonight to update you on how his day went. God bless, Joye

Thank you for the update Joye. I know many of us care so much about Andrew. He has touched us all and we are blessed to have him as a friend. Sometimes it’s hard as a friend to put aside our selfish needs in order to put Andrew's needs ahead of our own. My family completely understands your decisions on the current visitation status. Please do not hesitate to call if you happen to need assistance with something.

Until we are able to visit Andrew when he is in a better state we will pray daily for a full speedy recovery. Langley has a strong will and sole. He will pull through this obstacle that he faces without a doubt in my mind.

Thanks for the update. God bless.

Hey bud....you had us scared to death for awhile! It's so good to hear that you are improving now, and doing so, quickly. It's also good to hear that you are remaining so positive, that alone will make a difference in your recovery. You're an incredibly strong person Drew, and I feel confident that you will make a full recovery. Continue to improve....you are REALLY missed around this camp! In the meantime, Michael and I have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers, always.
Joye--you are an amazing person and I look forward to one day meeting you. Keep up the good work of taking care of Drew, you're doing an incredible job.
Thank you for the updates as well, there are SO many people (everyone)concerned for him.
If you need anything, please let us know.

My Sweet Joye and Langley,
I was so happy today to find out about this blog. I and so many others have been so worried and concerned. We all are ecstatic to hear of your improvements. Believe me I haven't prayed this much in a long time and I will continue to do so. In the meantime the both of you need to continue to get your rest and re-gain your strength.

Langley, I am saving all my dirty plastic containers just for you, so you better speed up that recovery. Also, Sal needs your help in moving the couches and fixing all those damn pillows"! :D

Your in our thoughts and prayers.
Much Love,
Michele UreƱa and Family

When the word got back that things didn't go well, we were all desperate for news, especially GOOD news. Joye, your a rock, keep up your strength and take care of that man and yourself. Sounds like you are both doing all the right things, unfortunatly it's going to take time. Use it to celebrate each small step and know that your friends and family will be here rooting for you through the ups and the downs.
Joye, thank you for taking the time to blog, it's our lifeline to you two and I know it's not always gonna be easy. I'll be sending jokes for that big 'kidder' of yours, so I hope it doesn't hurt to laugh! Hope you get that 'feeling' all the way down soon(I'll let you guys think about that)
My Love and Prayers are with you both, Debbie
