Joye's Update 5/14/08
Well, Andrew had kind of a hard day today. After he was up in the chair yesterday he started getting a headache, which is not unusual. He had the headache all night last night and it really got bad by this morning. They were worried at first because his head hurt worse in the front rather than the back, so they ordered a cat scan to make sure he didn't have any bleeds anywhere in his head. That test came back negative, so that was a relief. The headache slowly moved from the front of his head to the back of his head, which kind of told them that it was more of a tension migraine. They figure his muscles in his neck and shoulders are tense due to being up in the chair yesterday for so long. The physical therapist massaged his neck and shoulders for a while and they are giving him some meds to help his muscles relax. He was finally feeling some relief by the time I left his room tonight . . . so hopefully he will feel better tomorrow and will get back on track with his weanings and getting up in the chair. I know that God is healing him, and He will return his body back to the way He intended it to be . . . I have no doubt about that. Keep praying; it's the answer to everything . . . God is listening. Good Night and God bless you all. Joye

Joye & Drew,
So glad to hear that it was just a tension headache. Hopefully the headache is gone and your feeling better, so you will be able to continue the weanings. God will make you stronger everyday.
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Hang in their don't be discouraged and as always keep your eyes on God, for all things are possible.
Know that your are loved and missed, and prayed for every day.
Always,
Robbin

Hi Joye and Andrew, I hope that headache is taken care of. We say one day at a time for recovery. I will go as short as one moment at a time. Just stopping in to see how you both are doing. Andrew, keep your eyes focused on the goal. Joye, know that I keep you both in my thoughts. I will keep up the praying. Take care you two.
Until next time.
Lots of Love,
Dawn
Hi,
Well, Last night CJ and Lane (not just them) but they won their 1st YBBL baseball playoff game. It was a blow out (12-0) and the teams’ 1st wild win. The regular season was a humbling one at that (only won 2) and this win was an unexpected one. Maybe they are on that roll to take the City Majors’ Championship. By the way, I was able to see CJ's eyes too (He got a hair cut!!) maybe that’s why they won, he could see.HaHa I asked him the last time we had him if he wanted me to take him to get it cut and he said that you, Joye only cut it. Just to let you know it has been done by someone else, and it looks GREAT. I know that they all must miss you two terribly as well as you two missing them, but they know that you are in the RIGHT place to get Andrew WELL to come home and start again. Joye and Andrew you are very fortunate to have the support system that is here for you in Yuma. You need to know that your daily blogs are WONDERFUL and UPLIFTING. You don't know how many people you touch everyday with the words you write. I rush to check every morning to see what Andrew has been up too. Keep it up Andrew there is a light at the END of the TUNNEL!!!!!!! (There always is.) Hoping to have CJ again this weekend. Their next game is Monday… will update you then. Hugs, Tammy
Hey big dog,
You sure do go to great lengths to get out of enduring another Yuma Summer!! I know Colorado will be good for you and Joye. Keep your spirits up and remember to be patient and strong. We miss you every day.

Langley, I was so relieved to hear that the CT scan was negative.. hope your feeling better today and can proceed with your recovery. I can't even imagine what you may be thinking at this point, but just remember you have sooooooo many people praying for you, you need to stay mindfully strong. And I know you are. You are an amazing person and can get through this. Life throws obstacles at us and we need to just leap over them. This is your hurdle, now get over the wall with your inner strength. Your mind is the most powerful tool god has given us. And yours is huge... haha Praying daily for you, and I will see you back at work soon. love and miss ya

Hi Joye and Andrew,
I was wondering today how things are going at Craig, so I did a bit of a search and found your blog. I'm glad you both made it safely to CO and that Andrew seems to be doing well. The two of you are amazing and I have confidence that your faith will continue to bring you strength (both physical and emotional), direction and recovery. Andrew, everyone at Select misses you and we can't wait to hear about the day you walk onto a plane to head back to AZ!
Best Wishes,
Jessica (the physical therapist who talked your ear off)
