This post is being composed by the kids (Drew and C.J.); I'm typing because I spell better :)
This morning Andrew weaned (Drew says winged) for 4 hours . . . Drew also says, "What a weaner." Andrew also talked today because they put a special thing on his trach tube that allowed him to speak. We (Drew and C.J.) were in Andrew's room and Andrew had us call Joye so he could speak to her and he told her to come over to the room so he could talk to her in person. Then Joye called her sister (Darla)for Andrew to talk to her and he joked around and called everyone "crack heads," as usual. Then Andrew got up in his chair and went to therapy and was up for 4 hours, and during the time he was up we gave him his homemade juice. We left the room tonight while Andrew was still weaning, so we'll find out how long he weaned tomorrow. Thank you for praying for Andrew and please continue until he walks again. Drew and C.J.

You can be sure that the prayers will continue. Sounds as if he did really GREAT today. Could you both do me a favor and give Andrew and Joye a hug from me and tell them that I think about your family everyday. Oh, and tell Andrew that I am still in the cheering section and will continue to cheer him on. So Andrew, GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!!!! Drew, Anthony was SO SHOCKED when he saw you at Burgers and Beer. Well, for that matter, I was too. You are a beautiful young lady and it was GREAT seeing you. You have my number now, so call anytime. Take care, all of you.

Hi Joye and Langley, even though you haven't heard from us for a couple days our prayers are continuously going out for you Langley. It's so great to hear of how much you are improving each and every day. God so awesome! We love you guys. Nick & Marie

You are truly an inspiration to us all. I continue to pray for you all the time. You come to mind so often that God knows me very well at this point, and I know he is not going to let us down. And with your will power to excell in all you do and being such a perfectionist there is no stopping you now. much love comes your way.. And for you Joye & Kids, you deserve a big hug from the man that loves you very much, you all have given him the extra strength he has needed to strive for and will achieve full recovery.. Langley keep it up and you will be homeward bound in no time.

Drew and CJ~ That is awesome that you two did this post! I smiled all the way through it. I know it means the world to Andrew that you are there with him.
As for praying for him....there are SO many that pray for him daily, he is always in our thoughts. I am confident that he will walk out of that hospital one day, and on his own two feet. He is a strong man with a strong conviction, and a man to be proud of.
It is such good news to hear how much he is improving, and with such big steps towards full improvement being taken everyday.
Take care of your father, Joye, and of course, yourselves.
