Joye's Update 6/18/08

Another (kind of) hard day today. Andrew was still feeling badly this morning so he was unable to wean this morning. He was able to get up for a couple of hours and then he did wean this evening for 4 hours. He wanted to go longer, but they felt it was better to have him stop while he was still feeling good, rather than let him get too tired. Andrew is feeling a bit depressed due to his latest bump in the road and really needs to be lifted in prayer. Please pray for strength and determination for him . . . and, I thank you for that. Good Night and God Bless you all. Joye

Hi Andrew and Joye,

I will continue my prayers. It has to be helping as there is progression being made. Andrew, it's understandable the frustration you feel. This isn't a step back, it's just your body telling you to rest so that the work you have done will continue you toward your recovery. The body has a strange way of telling us what it needs. Listen to it. Listen to your doctors. And most of all, listen to Joye. :-) God is hearing your prayers. He is hearing all of ours too. Don't let this get you down. You know this is going to be a long road to travel and you have the determination to do it. And there are plenty of people that will be there every step of the way.
Until next time.
Lots of Love,
Dawn

Langley, I just have a few words to say to you... so listen up "Big Dog"..
And I would like you to really listen and think of what it is I am trying to tell you.. OK?

1st-Don't let today's disappointments cast a shadow on tomorrow's dreams.

2nd-The past cannot be changed, the future is still in your power.

3rd-Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God...

Now, I know deep down inside that your probably feeling discouraged and lost at this point. But your the "Big Dog" that can prevail way ahead of the others, You alone can make every one of your dreams come true. Just stay strong minded and let your body do it's thing. God is listening to us all....You will get through this. lots of love comes your way by so many of us. Continued prayers always through out our day..
love ya lots and miss ya

Joye & Drew,

Your doing so well don't let this little set back get you down. We are all here cheering you on. And you know we don't look good in those little cheerleader uniforms (hee, hee). I know you must be frustrated but you have to see how God is working in all of our lives becouse of this. Keep your eyes on God. What would you say to me? Besides calling me a crack head... =}~ So be the BIG DOG that you are. Keep your eyes focused forward not on what happened yesterday & their are endless possibilities. God is all around you. Go ahead take a look around and see the love that is surrounding you right now their in your room, and to expand on that the love here in yuma. So don't be discouraged stay focused keep your eyes on God. And know we all miss you very much, and we pray for you everyday.

Always
Robbin

Drew and Joye,
You are always in our prayers. The road to recovery is going to be hard and sometimes feel like an eternity but you will get there. Stay strong, Drew you are one of the strongest people I know. Look up and smile, God is watching over you. Show him your pearly whites as everyone here remembers you are always smiling. We are here for you, pom poms and all. Stay strong, Erin

Drew, I can't imagine what you have been through, nor continue to go through daily. You are fighting a battle both physically and emotionally. Why this happened to you, I dont know. What I do know however, is that you have the strength within you that is necessary to win the battle. Frankly, I dont know that I posess the amount of strength or determination to do HALF of what you have been able to do in recent months. I envy you for that. I also believe in you because of that. I believe you are going to be faced with more obstacles in the road ahead, but I also believe you will overcome each one in victory. If I, along with so many others, believe in you....please believe in yourself. And as you travel on the road to recovery, battling obstacles along the way, remember that we are standing on the roadside cheering you on, so that whenever you get discouraged, maybe we can inspire you the way you continue to inspire all of us.

Hang in there Drew. Some days aren't as good as others, but as long as you have more good than bad, that's all that matters. Please know that myself and so many others are concerned about you, constantly praying and behind you in every way. Still waiting for you to come back and give us all the trash you used to! Love Always, Kathy
