Joye's Update 7/4/08

We had a pretty good 4th of July today with exception to the news that Andrew's X-ray came back that he has a small fracture in his foot from our wreck yesterday. There isn't any really bad swelling and, of course, Andrew is in no pain. There isn't much they can do about it except keep it elevated and they will have to be careful when they lift him and transfer him. I feel just terrible about it, but Andrew is still just laughing and joking about it that it's my driving. The hospital had a barbecue today that we went to and then tonight there was a 4th of July celebration on the roof of the parking garage with music and fireworks. It was nice and Andrew had a good time. It was also nice to know that I can handle things with Andrew on outings without all the support of the hospital staff. I was nervous about it, but it all went fine and I managed not to break any more bones. I pray that Andrew will continue wanting to go out on outings and will be up for that type of thing once we get home. Well, that's all for now . . . I'm exhausted; it's been a very full day. Good Night and God Bless. Joye

Hi Andrew and Joye,

OH I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU BOTH DECIDED TO JOIN IN THE 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION ON THE ROOF. Joye, when we talked last night I was SO hopeing that you both would do that. It's great to hear about the things that you CAN do together. And you did it without any further crashes. :-)

Well, I'll end for now. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

Until next time.
LOTS OF LOVE,
DAWN

Hi Langley, sounds like alot has since the last time I was online. I am very happy for you.

As you know I quit DOC. . . I was off work for about 6 weeks and kept myself busy with canning food, finishing the kitchen and doing my job searches. I had plenty of time to clear out the crap and stress that filled my head from DOC.
I had offers from all over the country but really didn't want to leave the charming burg of Yuma. As you know it's not the location it's the people, our friends, that keep us in a place.
So when I got several job offers here I was quite pleased. The one that I chose was at Primecare on the Big Curve. I have now been there for 3 weeks and am truly happy and enjoying it. I am able to practice medicine as I have been trained to do without all the burdens.
I still see my dear friends from Yuma and am meeting many more there.
Carrie keeps me updated on your progress but felt it was time to say hello to you both. Keep your faith and beliefs strong.

Love ya, Suz
